The are Six Departments within Kids Off The Block’s Programs:

1.      Youth – Department 300
Every April is Youth Appreciation Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that every young person in the village have WRT
taking place in his/her life.

  •        Collect 338 forms on all youth
  •        Classify all youth into U10, U15, U18 categories
  •        Complete a 700 form on all youth
  •        Complete a 606a form on all youth
  •        Assign youth a billet in the village with correct department
  •        Collect youth dues
  •        Assign a duty day for reporting

2.     
 Public Safety – Department 400
Every July is Police Appreciation Month
Every September is Fire Fighters Appreciation Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that everyone in the village has a safe positive
environment to live in. Also to ensure all public services are efficiently rendered.


  •        Collect 38a forms in the village
  •        Ensure everyone under 18 goes to our Live, in Home Fire Safety Drill
  •        Ensure all knows the beat, district, and Caps meeting site/date
  •        Ensure everyone knows about the State’s Attorney Office Programs
  •        Ensure everyone knows about the Nuisance Abatement Programs
  •        Ensure everyone knows about the abandoned building program and vacant cars
  •        Ensure administration have every single address on every block in the village


3.     
 Senior Citizens – Department 500
Every October is Senior Citizen Appreciation Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that every senior citizen in the village have the
opportunity to live a fun, safe, and abundant life now that they are in their “golden years”.

  •        Collect 38a form on all seniors
  •        Provide information regarding the Department of Aging Programs
  •        Ensure all seniors know about the “Make a Wish Program”
  •        Ensure the administration has a list of all homebound seniors


4.     
 Health – Department 600
Every January is Church Appreciation Month
Every March is Health Awareness Month
Every May is Women’s Appreciation Month
Every June is Men’s Appreciation Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that every resident in the village is informed and
educated on health related issues.

Conduct the 606a forms on all residents
Provide information on all city related programs available
Host health fairs
Host HIV awareness campaigns (64% of all new HIV cases are Black)
List and provide all apartments for rent citywide
Issue all awards to residents
Maintain a listing of all churches in the village


5.      
Education – Department 700
Every May is Teacher’s Appreciation Month
Every June is Graduation Awareness Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that every resident have the opportunity to excel
educationally to the maximum of their ability; free from an unproductive environment.

  •        Collect 38a form on all residents
  •        Conduct a 700 form on all residents
  •        Issue intro Exam 724 for the youth
  •        Sign up for the university courses
  •        Host all essay contests
  •        Track the schools of all village children
  •        Track all the graduates in the village
  •        Track all the perfect attendance and A-students in the village
  •        Issue all movie passes and other incentives to the students


6.    
  Economic – Department 800
Every February is Business Appreciation Month
Every June is Post Office Appreciation Month
Every August is Elected Official Appreciation Month

The purpose of this department is to ensure that every resident in the village understands
his/her full economic power and to create a village economy.

  •        Collect 38a form on every resident
  •        Complete a 805 form on all residents
  •        Complete a budget on all residents
  •        Complete a 9005 and Matah on every resident
  •        Establish a home buyer network
  •        Establish a foreclosure prevention network
  •        Host the retirement savings, tax preparation, wills workshops
  •        Establish youth savings accounts
